Don José Luis founded ML Hoteles in 1974 with the unwavering goal of exceeding the expectations of every guest, offering unforgettable experiences that transcended the norm.

On the 7th of October 2000, this vision sprang to new life with the opening of Hotel Yaramar, coinciding with the Virgen del Rosario Day celebrations, Patron Saint of Fuengirola.

Yaramar is the continuation of Hotel Ángela and was carefully designed to provide a haven of comfort and contentment right by the Mediterranean. The Yaramar name is in honour of one of the daughters of Don José, owner and promoter of the hotel. “Yara” comes from his daughter’s name, and “mar”, meaning “the sea” in Spanish, is homage to the spectacular views from the hotel towards Fuengirola beach.

Yaramar Hotel has cultivated a firm base of loyal customers and has been warmly embraced by both the British and Spanish markets from the outset. This relationship goes beyond simple satisfaction and involves a commitment to the local community and its culture, respecting and enriching the surrounding region.

Mr. Martín’s dedication has been recognised at a national and international level. From the Thompson Gold Medal to the Spanish Government’s Medal of Merit for Tourism, the awards are testaments to the impact his leadership has had on the industry.

Over the years, countless clients have livened every corner of Hotel Yaramar with stories. Such as Mr. Geoffrey Harrison, who, owing to his many years of association with the hotel, had one of the hotel’s bars named after him, “Geoffrey’s Pub”.
