1. Museum of Imagination
Would you like to feel like a child again, even if only for a day? If your answer has been a resounding yes, you'll love the Museum of Imagination in Malaga. This interactive museum allows you to try and touch everything, with visual illusions, music that is heard not only with the ears, play of lights and shadows, and much more. Open from Monday to Thursday from 11:00 to 20:00, weekends from 11:00 to 21:00. Entrance fee: €10 general, €5 children and seniors over 65. Don't forget your camera to capture funny photos!
2. The Russian Museum of Malaga
Recently opened, the Russian Museum of Malaga offers an incredible exhibition that reviews Russian art from the 15th to the 20th century. Located in the old tobacco factory of Malaga, this museum, next to the Automobile Museum, is worth a visit. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 to 20:00. Entrance prices: €8.00 general access, €4.00 reduced rate. Sundays from 16:00, admission is free.
3. The Thyssen Museum
Until February 21, the Carmen Thyssen Museum in Malaga presents the exhibition “Artist Posters”. Located in an old palace in the city center, the Thyssen is one of the most famous museums. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00. Sundays from 17:00, admission is free.
4. Historical-Ethnological Museum of Mijas
If you love Andalusia, the Historical-Ethnological Museum in Mijas is a recommended visit. Known as “La Casa Museo,” it shows the history of Mijas through utensils, a winery, old oil mills, and a typical Mijan kitchen. It also has a replica of the bedroom of the "Mijas Mole." Free admission.
5. Pompidou Museum Malaga
Located in the Port of Malaga, the Pompidou is the first branch of the Georges Pompidou Center for Art and Culture outside France. With a permanent collection of more than 80 works of contemporary art, this museum is a cultural gem. Open every day, entrance prices: €9 general access, €5.50 reduced rate. Sundays from 16:00, admission is free.
